Admission criteria for Bachelor’s degree
for the academic year 2024-2025

 

1. General admission criteria

 

The final admission average is calculated according to the admission criteria set by each faculty.

 

1.1. Admission criteria for EU, EAA and SC citizens

EU, EEA and SC citizens will compete under the same conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens and will take the entrance exam (where applicable) – Annex 1.1a

EU, EEA and SC citizens can access seats with payment of the tuition fee in a foreign currency (euro) and without taking the entrance exam only for the study programme Medicine - English, where the final admission average is calculated as 100% of the Baccalaureate/High School Exam average.

 

1.2. Admission criteria for NON-EU citizens:

  1. Graduation from an accredited high school in the country of origin and recognized by the Ministry of Education. The list of secondary school diplomas recognized by the Ministry of Education can be checked by accessing the attached file: Lista diplomelor recunoscute de ME .
  2. Baccalaureate and Bachelor's diplomas will be authenticated, as appropriate, or will be accompanied by an authenticity certificate issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin; the authentication will be applied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and the Romanian Embassy/Consular Office in that country or by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country and its Embassy/Consular Office in Romania and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; for countries where there are no diplomatic missions of Romania or which do not have diplomatic missions in Romania, the study documents will be endorsed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country.   3. Proof of Romanian language competence (certificate of completion of the preparatory year or Romanian language certificate, minimum level B1).
  4. Passing the eliminatory test for those faculties with specific requirements such as: Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology and Faculty of Fine Arts.

The admission exam is file based, the admission average being 100% the average of the Baccalaureate exam / High School Diploma exam.

 

2. Admission criteria for the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy

 

2.1. Admission criteria for the study programmes taught in Romanian:

  • Proof of Romanian language competence (certificate of completion of the preparatory year or Romanian language certificate, minimum level B1).
  • The final admission average is 100% the baccalaureate exam average.
  • For candidates with educational documents issued in countries where the baccalaureate/equivalent examination average is not awarded, the overall average of the secondary school years will be taken into consideration instead of the baccalaureate average.
  • In the case of baccalaureate diplomas issued in Morocco, the average and marks obtained in the national examination are considered.

If two candidates have the same grade in the baccalaureate examination and they compete for the last seat for the same study programme, the following will be taken into consideration:

For the following study programmes: Medicine, Dental Medicine, General Nursing, Midwifery and Dental Technique the arithmetic mean of the grades in biology or chemistry will be considered:

  • The arithmetic mean of the grades in biology or chemistry will be taken into account for the following study programmes: Medicine, Dental Medicine, General Nursing, Midwifery and Dental Technique,
  • if there are both biology and chemistry subjects in the curriculum, the arithmetic mean of the biology grades will be taken into consideration initially, and the arithmetic mean of the chemistry grades will be taken subsequently.

For the study programme Pharmacy:

  • the arithmetic average of the grades in chemistry or biology will be considered.
  • if there are both chemistry and biology subjects in the curriculum, the arithmetic mean of the grades in chemistry will be taken into consideration initially, then the arithmetic mean of the grades in biology will be taken subsequently.

 

2.2. Admission criteria for Medicine in English:

  • Proof of English language competence (candidates must present an international language certificate at least B1 level or a language certificate obtained from the Modern Language Centre within UDJG, not older than 2 years; citizens who have graduated from a secondary school where English is the language of instruction or who have obtained at least B1 level in the baccalaureate examination are exempted from presenting the language certificate).
  • The final admission average is 100% the baccalaureate exam average,
  • For candidates with educational documents issued in countries where the baccalaureate/equivalent examination average is not awarded, the overall average of the secondary school years will be taken into consideration instead of the baccalaureate average,
  • In the case of baccalaureate diplomas issued in Morocco, the average and marks obtained in the national examination are considered.
